      Mark Betts

      Mark Betts has over 25 years executive management experience within FMCG packaging and manufacturing industries, working with a number of large corporate and private companies, with sales turnover ranging from $50 million to $450 million. He personally advises clients on innovation, growth and profitability and international trade. Mark also manages other key consulting roles including short-term project management assignments, and for selected clients, he conducts group facilitation, leadership skills training, coaching and mentoring.

      Until recently, he was Director and CEO of one of Australia’s foremost food manufacturers. The outstanding turnaround in growth, profitability and market share achieved by the company during his 5 years tenure attracted the attention of a much larger global manufacturer, leading to a friendly and successful acquisition of the business.

    • Mark has previously held a range of general management and state management responsibilities. Being at the forefront in leading organisations, he has in-depth experience of implementing business improvement strategies and methodologies to drive increased bottom-line performance. Mark has been a business innovator throughout his career, his strong track record for growing businesses and enhancing profitability is widely recognized in the Australian management marketplace. He also has extensive international business experience in manufacturing, sales and distribution with network relationships throughout Asia-Pacific and globally.

      As a recognised management specialist, Mark has served on the Board of Advice for Management Skills Queensland and the Queensland Government Mentor for Growth Program. He has held various industry and board positions, including former President of the Australian Fruit Juice Association and board member of the Australian Beverage and Environmental Council. Mark is presently serving as Chairman of an advisory board for a private organisation.

      Additionally, Mark is a champion of corporate responsibility, raising over $250,000 in just three years to help children with disabilities, providing them with specialised equipment and much needed therapy. He has been nominated and received many awards, including the Queensland Government’s Most Outstanding Initiative Award for assisting children and families with disabilities. For his good works he has been made an Ambassador for the John Maclean Foundation and the Cerebral Palsy League Queensland.
